The Davis Tackle shop is just 5 minutes walk from the Guest House and sells fishery day tickets to many local waters including the Royalty and you may also join Ringwood angling club.
The famous Throop fishery is only 10 mins drive away as are numerous lakes catering for virtually every type of fishing that may interest you.
There are 2 ‘local’ pubs; the Royalty View is opposite the Davis Tackle shop (It is steeped in angling history and plenty of local anglers to offer tips and advice) & 'The Railway' is at the end of the road and is a traditional ‘local’. Both offer excellent evening meals at affordable prices. The British Legion Club is a few yards away from Davis Tackle and all make you very welcome.
Takeaway restaurants to suit all tastes are just 5 minutes away (you can bring back to the Guest house if you wish). Christchurch town centre is just 10 minutes walk and offers further choices of places to eat and drink.
Buses to Bournemouth and Poole etc are available at the end of the road & Christchurch Railway station is just 5 minutes walk with trains to Southampton, London and the South Coast. Connections to Reading, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle and Scotland can also be made via Bournemouth or Brockenhurst.
Some of the BEST beaches in the country are just 5/6 minutes away from the Royalty View.
